He saw them towards the back of the tavern maybe 7 of them, harassing all the waitresses as they brought the bandits drinks. The Ganelon bandits, they called themselves, and rumor had it that an odd group of mercenaries had wiped out over half their numbers lately in a small battle in one of the mountainside villages.
The amount of empty seats the pack of rouges usually took up definitely supported that theory.
Dorcas made sure his axes were flush against his back, and loose in their buckles before he approached what appeared to be the leader.

When he came to me, he said that 6 will die in my arms and become one of those. I believed him, as many of my friends died during those horrible days, new and old, some by my hand, some by the hands of them.
That last one was supposedly killed a year ago, so I tell you now, this is not over.
Philly, Jase, Vans, Merc…… Serah. They all died in my arms, and then I personally ended their spread.
